Summary of “The Boys” on Prime

"The Boys" is what happens when superheroes take a long, shameful subway ride into corporate greed, bodily fluids, and PR spin. Think capes, cleavage, and carnage: a ragtag crew of vengeful misfits try to expose megacorporation-backed superstars who are narcissistic, violent, and literally sponsored. There’s gory chaos, awkward therapy sessions, questionable product placements, and a moral compass spinning wildly in the dark. It’s equal parts explosive satire, horrific power-trip, and the world's filthiest public service announcement about celebrity worship.

Meet the characters from ‘The Boys’:

Homelander — The show’s charismatic, terrifying top superhero. Publicly a smiling, patriotic leader, privately he’s sociopathic, power-hungry, and emotionally volatile. Super strength, flight, laser eyes. Symbol of corporate-controlled “heroism.”

Billy Butcher — Ruthless, vengeful leader of the Boys. Ex-military, charismatic and foul-mouthed, driven to take down Supes and expose Vought. Cunning, morally flexible, emotionally scarred by personal loss.

Hugh “Hughie” Campbell — Reluctant everyman drawn into the fight after his girlfriend’s death by a supe. Empathetic, nerdy, moral compass of the group, increasingly hardened by the world’s brutality.

Annie January / Starlight — Idealistic, moral young supe who joins the Seven and clashes with Vought’s corruption. Powers: light and flight. Struggles between fame, compromise, and doing what’s right.

Queen Maeve — Cynical, weary member of the Seven. Super-strong and resilient, once idealistic but now compromised; quietly sympathetic to those harmed by Vought.

The Deep — Embarrassing, insecure former member of the Seven with aquatic powers. Desperate for validation, often played for darkly comic and grotesque moments.

A-Train — Speedster of the Seven, egotistical and addicted to performance. His desperation to stay on top leads to moral collapse and dangerous choices.

Frenchie — Quirky, unpredictable member of the Boys. Resourceful, inventive, and deeply loyal, with a knack for black-market tinkering and unusual combat skills.

Mother’s Milk (MM) — Steady, methodical second-in-command. Disciplined, strategic, and protective of the team; provides emotional balance and practical leadership.

Kimiko / The Female — Silent, ferocious fighter with regenerative abilities and super strength. Traumatized origin, struggles with violence and trust but fiercely loyal to the Boys.

Victoria Neuman — Politically ambitious figure whose public persona hides deeper, destabilizing secrets. (Prominent in later seasons as a spoiler-sensitive plot driver.)

Stan Edgar — Cold, corporate CEO of Vought. Calculated, power-focused executive who treats superheroes as brands and pawns.

Victoria “Vought” and other executives — Corporate architects who manufacture the superhero industry: PR, branding, cover-ups, and ruthless profit motives that shape the series’ conflict.
